Knit & Sewn Sundress – meets twice: Since we knit AND sew we got really excited when a customer came in with the sweetest sundress for her daughter. The top was knit, the skirt was sewn and the finishing was done with grosgrain ribbon. She pointed out that we sell every single thing you need to make this dress! And hence the idea was hatched. A class with Danielle and Sammy! Knitting in session 1, sewing in session 2. It's going to be awesome!
Limited to 4 students (17 yrs of age or older)
Level: Beginner Intermediate. You know how to knit (cast on, cast off) and you've been behind the "wheel" of a sewing machine once upon a time. This is a great first project for anyone who's taken a combination of our basics classes.
We provide: The pattern and expertise.
You bring: Yarn and fabric you love! You'll need a 1-2 skeins (depending on size) of Luna Cotton (or equivalent cotton worsted weight yarn) for the top and a yard of cotton fabric for the skirt, 3 buttons (approx. 1/2") and a yard of twill tape; we offer 15% off materials purchased for any of our classes.
Class length: 2 1/2 hours each session for a total of 5 hours. (Session two takes place on June 23rd)
Cost: $50
